Mama and I volunteer with a local dog Rescue, and there are always big medical bills for our dogs. Their teeth fall out because they haven’t had dental care, they have heart murmurs…the list goes on and on. One of the ladies in our group decided to make fleece dog blankets in honor of Happie, her beloved rescue who has crossed the Bridge, as a fund raiser. She calls the blankets Happie Blankies. Some of the fleece patterns have Scotties on them, and that’s how Mama and I became in charge of Happie Blankie Sales, Scottie Division. But there are other cute patterns, and we have friends who have other breeds of dogs, so we are what Mama calls equal opportunity Blankie sellers! You can see me modeling my Blankie, and here are some of the other patterns we have on hand.
full mode is learning about all the sales sites on FB, what you can and can’t post – you know the drill. Then when we get our orders, we go downstairs to our Fulfillment Department (our dining room table), wrap the Blankies up in tissue paper, write a thank you note and make a Post Office run. Just in case you’re in the market for a blanket for your dog, or great Christmas gift, the Blankies measure 24 X 30, and they are $30 each plus shipping. Please consider a donation that is going to help a homeless dog, and pamper your pet. Operators are standing by!
